Brothers We Stand
Menswear with a story worth knowing.
Meet the Brand
Founded in 2013, Brothers We Stand was created to make it easier to discover menswear brands that care about their impact on people and planet.
Today, its independently owned marketplace brings together a carefully selected collection of clothing and accessories from brands including NWHR, Project Pico, Elvis & Kresse and Silverstick.
But Brothers We Stand isn't simply about finding more sustainable products. Its philosophy is about looking behind them — who made them, where the materials came from and what happens further along the supply chain.
Why they’re part of Love Sustainable Brands
This is exactly where Brothers We Stand fits with Love Sustainable Brands.
The marketplace has its own standard for the brands it works with, looking at areas including social and environmental impact, supply-chain transparency, workers' rights, quality and longevity, and a commitment to improvement.
We particularly like that approach. Sustainability isn't presented as a claim that everything is perfect. Instead, Brothers We Stand encourages brands to be open about what they're doing well and where there is still work to do.
And that means we can do something we think is important too: look behind what we buy.
What we love
The transparency.
Click on a product and you can find out considerably more than its fabric composition. Brothers We Stand provides information about the people who made it, the materials used, where those materials came from and the environmental considerations behind them.
There's also a strong emphasis on buying things designed to last. Quality, longevity and timeless design are part of its standard, rather than following a cycle of buying and replacing.
We love that combination: clothes that look good, are designed to be worn and come with enough information to help us make a more considered choice.
A few products to discover
-
NWHR Grid Shirt — £85
A relaxed-fit shirt made from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton. Made in Spain and produced in Northern Portugal, it reflects NWHR's focus on local production, organic materials and considered design.
-
Project Pico Cotton Trunk Shorts — £22
Everyday essentials with a story worth knowing. Made from 95% Fairtrade organic cotton, these trunks are produced by a small Fairtrade factory in southern India, with cotton sourced from Fairtrade farmers' cooperatives.
-
Elvis & Kresse West End Belt — £55
A classic belt with a very unexpected starting point: genuine decommissioned British fire hose. Elvis & Kresse transform reclaimed materials into durable accessories, giving something that might otherwise be discarded a completely new life.
Our take
Brothers We Stand makes sustainable menswear feel less complicated.
It's not about telling us what we should buy. It's about giving us more information so we can decide for ourselves — whether that's an organic cotton shirt, Fairtrade underwear or a belt made from reclaimed fire hose.
And perhaps that's what we like most. Good design, better information and plenty of stories worth discovering.
